A big thanks to everyone - players and families - who made it to the Player of the Year event at Giffnock Tennis Club. All the players received their medals for winning the ERSDA U16 League and the team was presented with the trophy.
The winners of this season's awards were:
Top Goalscorer - Calum Gallagher Supporter's Player - Jack Hanlon Team Player - Jack Marshall Coaches Player - David Boyle Player's Player - Calum Forsyth
Congratulations to all winners of the Player of the Year awards. There were a number of players who could have won in each category and I'm sure they will be challenging again next season.
Finally thanks to everyone for their loyal support throughout the season and we all look forward to enjoying the summer break (and watching the World Cup!) and coming back refreshed and raring to go for season 2010/11.
Would moving kids' football to a summer game help improve the development of young footballers?
Yes - better pitches mean a better chance to develop technique/skills
No - wouldn't make any real difference to development
Maybe - but I'd be worried about more injuries on firm pitches
